Author Biography

Holly Thorpe, Waikato University

Holly Thorpe graduated with honours from the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand in 2003 with a Bachelor of Physical Education degree. Her dissertation is entitled “On Board or On Edge: Females in the Snowboarding Culture”. She is currently completing her Ph.D. at Waikato University with a thesis tentatively titled “Understanding Contemporary Cultural Phenomena: Social Theory and the Female Snowboarder”.
