Author Biography

Annette R Hofmann, Department for Sport Science, Westfälische-Wilhelms University in Münster

Annette R Hofmann holds an MA in Sport Science and American Studies from the Eberhard-Karls University in Tübingen, Germany. Her PhD dealt with the German Turner Movement in the United States. She is presently an assistant professor (Wissenschäftliche Assistentin) in the Department for Sport Science of the Westfälische-Wilhelms University in Münster. Her major research interests involve German immigrants and American sports; sports in cultural contexts; and health and sport.
