Brendan Hokowhitu, Te Tumu School of Máori, Pacific and Indigenous Studies, University of Otago

Brendan Hokowhitu is Ngati Pukenga. He is a senior lecturer in Te Tumu, the School of Máori, Pacific and Indigenous Studies at the University of Otago, Dunedin, Aotearoa New Zealand, where he is the Programme Coordinator of the Masters of Indigenous Studies. Dr Hokowhitu’s research focuses on the deconstruction of dominant representations of Máori and, in particular, of Máori masculinity.
